The project

Top End Automotive is a specialty workshop for classic cars and JDM vehicles. Its knowledge needed a place online where the right customers could find and assess it.

The search strategy focused on specificity. Broad servicing searches put a small workshop alongside large chains; more precise service and vehicle searches let the page answer a clearer need. The content covers classic cars, JDM platforms including the AE86 and E70 Corolla, 86/BRZ/GR86 turbo installations and track preparation, with service information close to the enquiry path.

That connection matters after the click. A person looking for a particular job should be able to recognise it on the page, check the workshop and ask a useful question about their vehicle.

The thinking behind the build

Be specific enough for the right car owner.

Top End’s strength is specialist knowledge of classic cars and JDM vehicles. Its search and service structure gives that knowledge a place online where an owner can recognise their platform and discuss the work.

  1. Step 01

Start with the vehicle and the job

A search for AE86 work or an 86/BRZ turbo installation carries far more context than a broad mechanic search. Dedicated service content reflects those specialist needs, alongside race, drift and track preparation.

  2. Step 02

Show the capability behind the service

Workshop imagery, the gallery, reviews and practical service information give an owner ways to assess the business before making contact. Specific evidence matters when the decision concerns a build, modification or classic vehicle.

  3. Step 03

Get the vehicle into the conversation

The contact page offers a direct phone and email path. For specialist work, the next conversation needs the vehicle, the planned job and the owner’s goals. The website sets up that discussion; it cannot confirm workshop suitability or an appointment by itself.

  4. Step 04

Build content around real specialist questions

Repeated questions about platform compatibility, preparation or the scope of a build are useful material for service pages. Reviewing those conversations can help the workshop attract better-informed owners and make its specialist boundaries clearer.

Under the hood

Next.js App Router in TypeScript, with service and suburb routes generated from structured content. Quote requests sit alongside service information, reducing the steps between understanding the work and asking about it. Structured data describes the business, its services and its area. The search approach is specific, and the page needs to be just as useful once someone arrives.

Before this, I was working job to job from referrals. Some months were great, others were dead quiet. They set up everything from scratch, got me properly listed online, and now I've got a steady stream of bookings coming in.

The workshop has a place to show what it does and help people take the next step. Future updates can be guided by the services customers ask about and the questions that come up before booking.
