The website in motion

The project
G-TEC Electrical needed a local presence in Toowoomba that explained the services and made it straightforward to get in touch. The work connects the main website, local search and enquiry handling into a consistent customer journey.
The main site gives each service room for useful detail. Someone researching an EV charger needs different information from someone arranging smoke alarm work. Dedicated service pages answer those practical questions, present relevant proof and make the next step easy to find. Separate campaign pages were also built during the project.
The project has evolved with the business. Ongoing work includes refining service pages, checking the mobile experience and keeping the information consistent across the site. That maintenance matters because a customer may meet the business on any service page, not only the homepage.
Connect local search to quoted electrical work.
G-TEC’s Toowoomba growth work connects Google Ads, local search, service pages and the enquiry workflow. The aim is to preserve enough context to understand which electrical requests progress into quotes and jobs.
- Step 01
Separate immediate demand from awareness
Google Ads reaches people searching for electrical help now. Organic service pages and the Google Business Profile support local discovery and research. Facebook and Instagram awareness creative has a different role: introducing the business before a specific need arises. That awareness work is planned separately from the active search campaign.
- Step 02
Continue the service conversation
An EV charger enquiry and a smoke alarm enquiry should not require someone to sift through every electrical service. Dedicated service pages give those needs a relevant explanation, supporting proof and a clear way to ask about the job.
- Step 03
Give the electrician a usable request
The enquiry flow collects contact details and the job address, with service and urgency context where supplied. Available source information travels with the enquiry so the response and later review can refer to the same request.
Why the address matters
Location helps establish whether the job is in the service area and gives the quoting conversation a concrete starting point. It is useful operational information, not simply another field to count.
- Step 04
Bring quote and job outcomes back into the review
Forms, phone intent and booked conversations remain separate signals. The setup also supports feedback when a quote is sent or a job is won. Those later stages depend on the business recording the outcome consistently; a website event cannot establish them by itself.
How that changes optimisation
Compare the requests that progress with those that do not. This helps distinguish a targeting problem from a quoting or follow-up problem, and directs improvements to the part of the journey that needs them.
A closer look at the pages

Different electrical work receives its own explanation.
Under the hood
Next.js App Router with a component-driven content layer, so pages are assembled from typed sections rather than hand-built, so a service or location page is content plus a layout choice. That scales to hundreds of routes but only holds if the components render consistently, which is exactly what a periodic audit checks: full-page captures at desktop and mobile across representative page types, DOM section mapping, then a pass to remove duplicate sections and off-system colour. Review count, service areas and structured data are generated from one source so the number on the badge and the number in the schema cannot disagree.
What was meant to be a quick half-hour Zoom call turned into a two-hour chat. Phil worked his magic — new website, landing pages, CRM systems, SEO, and more. I honestly wish I'd met Phil much earlier.
